A Purpose Driven Life

I believe that every one of us is placed here for a reason. Discovering that purpose makes our hearts beat just a bit faster. Pairing that with a skill set we already own to bring that passion to the world can be breathtaking!

I want to encourage others to live their best life. I was born with a toolbox filled with a positive attitude, the ability to relate to others, and creativity in various forms, including words and photos. I say that I accidentally fell into the social media world, which is true, but in reality, I think I found my “glass slipper” the perfect fit.

Life isn’t always crystal clear with the direction we are intended to take. Even if you have an idea, it’s murky on how actually to achieve our purpose. I thought I was on my path, but extraordinary powers, God or Universe, forced me to see that I wasn’t exactly where I was meant to be.

One of the tricky things about living and sharing as publicly as I do, is for you, the audience, to realize I don’t share everything. It was shocking for you to discover that my marriage wasn’t exactly the happy couple you all saw me portray. At that moment, I knew my life wasn’t perfect, who’s is. I didn’t realize how off the tracks sideways it had been myself. Looking back, I now see many things that should have slapped me alongside the head. I also see mistakes I made that I may have been able to correct.

Do you have a change in your life that fear is keeping you from?

Down deep, I knew something was wrong. My joy for living every day was draining away from me. The harder I tried to chase that joy, the further out of grasp it became. It was one of the most confusing times of my life. Sharing the farm created so much joy and happiness. Messages poured in saying how we helped calm anxieties across the globe. The more passionate you all became, the sadder I was. I knew that the farm created a wedge in my personal life. Yet I was determined to continue to share because it felt so right. Several things about the marriage was wrong, yet we remained tolerant. No arguing or anger, we naturally drifted apart. I continued sharing the farm and stand strong in that decision today. I followed my purpose of spreading joy even though it was the ultimate sacrifice. Losing the farm family and moving to an entirely new state was the shift I needed to return to my center. It was also one of the most gut-wrenching and scary things I have ever done. I’m proud of myself for surviving the hardship. Now, my passion for helping others is lit with a new flame.

Finding direction is one of the hardest things to tackle. It is easy to get caught up in our everyday habits and routines and turn a blind eye to what is happening around us. I was settling for being comfortable in my world rather than becoming all I could be. None of us wanted to lose the farm and the joy it brought. However, this entire thing has pulled us together as a stronger community.

Is there a change you can make in your life that will bring you closer to your purpose? What is fear holding you back from? Is there something uncomfortable you are putting up with to maintain an ok life? I would love to chat about it. Please leave a comment below.
